The heat was the big story, with temperatures in 90s both Saturday and Sunday, making it the warmest Hoopfest on record.

Hoopfest has never been more popular. This year, more than 6,400 teams registered to play - a new record. The previous record was set in 2002.

Dozens of high-flying hoopsters packed Nike Center Court on Saturday afternoon for the dunk contest. The event drew a big crowd, who braved the glaring sun and scorching temperatures.

Men's winner Booker Lewis of Federal Way sealed his victory with a sweeping reverse jam. Lewis also went between his legs for a dunk earlier in the contest.

The women's dunk contest was won by Gonzaga assistant coach Lindsay Herbert.

The medical tent was busy all weekend, with several people treated for minor injuries, mostly sprained ankles and scrapes.
