FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Landon Donovan scored three goals for his fourth career MLS hat trick, but Blas Perez scored his second goal in the 86th minute to lift FC Dallas into a 3-3 tie with the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday night.

Donovan scored twice within nine minutes to give Los Angeles a 3-2 lead in the 82nd minute, but Perez notched his team-leading eighth goal of the season four minutes later.

Dallas nearly won it in stoppage time when Jackson launched a 40-yard bomb that went off the right goal post.

The draw lifts the Galaxy (10-9-4) into a fifth-place tie with Seattle, while Dallas (8-6-9) remains one point behind, just outside the playoff picture.

Matt Hedges scored Dallas' other goal in the 15th minute, snapping a club-record goalless streak at 464 minutes, the seventh-longest drought in MLS history.

RAPIDS 1, CHIVAS USA 1

CARSON, Calif. (AP) — Martin Rivero scored in the 80th minute and Colorado salvaged a tie with Chivas USA in a game marred by three ejections.

Chivas USA finished with nine players and Colorado was down to 10 men.

Colorado (9-7-9) remained in second place in the Western Conference, even with Vancouver on 36 points, while Chivas is in last place on 18 points.

Rookie midfielder Carlos Alvarez gave Chivas (4-13-6) a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute.

Chivas' Gabriel Farfan was ejected in the 33rd minute for a serious foul play as he stepped on a sliding Shane O'Neill. Early in the second half, Colorado's Tony Cascio was sent off after picking up his second yellow card. Tristan Bowen was sent off in the 63rd minute for spitting at Colorado's Chris Klute.
