PORTLAND, Ore. - The Trail Blazers formally announced a deal that brings Jerryd Bayless and forward Ike Diogu to Portland and sends Brandon Rush, Jarrett Jack and Josh McRoberts to the Indiana Pacers.

The deal was struck on draft night, but could not be formally announced until it was finalized.

The 6-foot-3 Bayless was the 11th overall pick in the draft. He played one season at Arizona, averaging almost 20 points per game.

General manager Kevin Pritchard says Bayless is a proven scorer and a tenacious defender who will add athleticism to the Trail Blazer backcourt.

First-rounders Bayless and Batum on summer league squad

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Trail Blazers announced their roster for the upcoming Las Vegas summer league.

Recent first-round picks Jerryd Bayless and Nicolas Batum (bah-toom) highlight the squad, along with 2007 first-rounder Petteri Kopenen.

Another name of note is former Oregon State star David Lucas. He is of course the son of Maurice Lucas, the current Blazer assistant coach who was the leading scorer on Portland's only championship team.
