On Super Bowl Sunday, the Beast Mode beer at Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Company was a popular choice for fans. Co-owner Greg Gramenz said it is made with Skittles, but it is a beer that probably won’t be served at the restaurant across the street.
“I’m not really too sure about them over there,” said Gramenz.
On the other side of the street, Denver Broncos fans gathered at El Borracho Del Norte. David Johnson said they’ve been watching the games at the restaurant all year.
“We’re just trying to keep it classy,” said Johnson. “We love this city and have friends that are Hawks fans.”
Like any rivalry, especially one as old as the Broncos-Seahawks, there is some friendly trash talk.
“We’ve got a couple of cases of Orange Crush we’ll take over there (Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Company) after we win,” said Johnson.
Gramenz said after the game Broncos fans are welcome at his place for a cold one.
"You give them a Beast Mode," said Gramenz. "We'll serve anyone here. We are nice people. We are very gracious winners."
