Multiple reports say former Tampa Bay receiver Antonio Bryant will get a tryout with the Seahawks at mini-camp.
Just like receiver Mike Williams from two years ago, Bryant is trying to revive his career after being out of the NFL for a few seasons. Bryant injured his knee in 2009. He had surgery. In 2010, the Cincinnati Bengals signed him to a 4-year deal worth $28 million, $8 million guaranteed. But Bryant didn't play a down for Cincy. He's spent the past few years getting healthy again.
Bryant has good speed, when healthy. Plus, he's a big guy. According to NFL.com, the 31-year-old is 6'1" and 211 pounds, at least the last time he played.
His best season came in 2008. Bryant caught 83 balls for 1,248 yards and 7 touchdowns. During his 8 seasons in the NFL, he's played for Dallas, Cleveland, San Francisco, and Tampa Bay.
The Seahawks begin mini-camp on Tuesday.
