Former Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren says he would be open to returning to the sidelines.
ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that Holmgren said he would not aggressively pursue any job openings, but would be interested if someone approached him.
The Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadephia Eagles and San Diego Chargers all fired their head coaches Monday.
Cleveland would be an unlikely destination. Holmgren served as the team’s president since 2010, but was let go by the team’s new owners this season.
Holmgren, 64, led both the Seahawks and Green Bay Packers to the Super Bowl, winning one with the Packers in Super Bowl XXXI.
