The Seattle Seahawks did the improbable a week earlier, becoming the first NFL team to qualify for the playoffs with a losing record. They extended the magic one more week when the defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints came calling to Qwest Field on Jan. 8. Capped by Marshawn Lynch’s “Beastmode” 67-yard touchdown run in which he broke six tackles, the Seahawks stunned the league with a 41-36 win. The Lynch run has become legend now, causing the 12th Man to erupt so loud that it actually created a small seismic event.

He's the creator of the Beastquake, he's a Pro-Bowl running back, he's even a Skittles connoiseur, and now, Marshawn Lynch adds actor to his list of accolades.

Lynch signed on to play a role in a movie being filmed in Seattle.  It's called "Matt's Chance".  It's about a mid-20-something cowboy who's betrayed by his girlfriend.  It sends him into a downward sprial.  The movie tackles all the things Matt is going through, from the mafia to corrupt bankers to even God himself.

Lynch's co-stars include the 6 Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors.  Plus, Edward Furlong from Terminator 2, Point Break's Gary Busey, and Margot Kidder of Superman fame also co-star in the movie.

The movie was written and is being directed by local filmmaker Nicholas Gyeney and is being produced by Nathan Riley of Mirror Images LTD. No word on when it'll be completed and released.  We'll definitely keep an eye open for it.  I wonder if Lynch's contract asks for Skittles to be on the set at all times.
