Today is Blue Friday, and there was plenty of Seahawks spirit everywhere. But no where was it more evident than on the road to the airport, where the 12th Man showed up in the hundreds to send off the team as they head to Washington, D.C., for Sunday's wild card game against the Redskins.
Fans lined the road to Sea-Tac Airport. Some wrote heartfelt messages to give their departing team a spirited sendoff. Others waved flags as the team buses passed by.
Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn hoisted the 12th Man flag on top the Space Needle Friday. And Top Pot sold out their “Seahawks doughnut” all over town. Luckily, they're making more through Sunday.
