| Recommended Trojans No. 6, Golden Bears No. 25 in AP poll

NEW YORK - Southern California moved up to No. 6 from No. 8, while California, at No. 25, became the second Pac-10 school in The Top 25 of The Associated Press college football poll yesterday.
The Trojans improved their record to 4-1 during the weekend with a 28-0 victory over Arizona State, while the 4-1 Golden Bears had a bye.
Cal leads the Pac-10 with a 2-0 record, while Southern Cal is 2-1 in league play. Southern Cal is at Washington State in Pullman Saturday.
