Team USA and Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Hope Solo, who is well-known for speaking her mind, took to Twitter Saturday to call out former U.S. soccer star Brandi Chastain.

Following USA's 3-0 win over Colombia, posts on Solo's Twitter account launched criticisms apparently aimed at Chastain's soccer commentary.

"Lay off commentating about defending and gking until you get more educated @brandichastain the game has changed from a decade ago," Solo tweeted. "Its 2 bad we cant have commentators who better represents the team&knows more about the game @brandichastain!"

About a half-hour later, more criticms were tweeted.

"I feel bad 4 our fans that have 2 push mute, especially bc @arlowhite is fantastic.@brandichastain should be helping 2 grow the sport," said one post. "Its important 2 our fans 2 enjoy the spirit of the olympics. Its not possible when sum1 on air is saying that a player is the worst defender!" said another.

Solo's tweets did not reference specifically what Chastain said, and there was no immediate response on Twitter from Chastain.

Minutes after the two initial tweets, Solo also said, "3-0 and onto the quarters! Proud of our team for keeping our composure during a chippy game! On to Manchester! #fb"

Reaction was swift among followers on Twitter.

"Hold on Hope. Game has not changed defending is the same now then it was 10 years ago. Basic errors get it right," tweeted @OfficialWayneH

"@hopesolo vs. @brandichastain. #BuckleUp," tweeted @map408psu

"@hopesolo is crushing Brandi Chastain right now, and I couldn't agree w/her more #UStillMad," tweted @ajuarez_thatSID

The rant is reminiscent of 2007. Solo, who was lights out in goal during the World Cup, was benched for veteran Bianna Scurry. Scurry gave up four goals in a semifinal loss to Brazil, costing the U.S. a chance at the title.

Afterward, Solo called out coach Greg Ryan.

"It was the wrong decision, and I think anybody that knows anything about the game knows that. There's no doubt in my mind I would have made those saves," said Solo.

Chastain is best known for her goal during penalty kicks that gave the U.S. the World Cup title in 1999.
