Coming off of their first win of the season, things began to look up for the Indianapolis Colts until the early odds for Week 4 were released, which have them as 13-point road underdogs against the Seattle Seahawks.
Being underdogs on the road against the Seahawks shouldn’t be a surprise as going to CenturyLink Field isn’t the most comfortable of feelings, even for the best of offenses.
However, being 13-point road underdogs, per Bovada, should be considered big, even for the Colts, who have scored an average of 17.7 points per game this season.
The Seahawks defense is ridiculously good at home and having the 12th man behind them in prime time on Sunday night will make it difficult for the Colts to move the ball down the field.
The Colts did well against a bad Browns defense at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 3 but even there is some concern with the unit, especially given the lack of rushing attack and the inability to close out games in the fourth quarter.
The Colts averaged just 2.8 yards per carry against the Browns. If they can’t get the ground game going, the Seahawks will be able to sit comfortably in the secondary and defend against quarterback Jacoby Brissett and his wide receivers.
The Colts got out of the hole with a win in Week 3 but it won’t get any easier as they travel to take on the Seahawks in a prime time matchup.
