Baseball legend Ken Griffey Jr. had a busy day with the media as part of Upper Deck’s 25th anniversary. He spoke with our own Ted Berg about the challenges that Dodgers star Yasiel Puig faces. During his appearance on the Golf Channel Wednesday morning, Griffey managed a few smiles. He appeared less than enthused to take part in an interview with ESPN’s Linda Cohn on SportsCenter later that day. Watch video

Cohn called him out on Twitter afterwards.

Griffey posted an apology on Instagram, and personally apologized to Cohn over the phone.

“I want to apologize to Linda for the way things went today. I was in the middle of a cough attack and felt a little ill and didn’t want to walk off the set. Linda has always been professional to me and my family . I’m sorry, Junior @espn @sportcenter @lindacohn”
