TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Junior guard Jackie Lanz scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures as Prairie stayed alive in search of its sixth state title as the Falcons beat Lakeside 64-50 Thursday in a quarterfinal game at the state 3A girls basketball tournament at the Tacoma Dome.

The Falcons (25-1) got 12 points each from Cori Woodward and Heather Corral and 10 from Megan Lindsley. Corral scored nine of her points on 3-pointers.

Kaylee Best scored 14 points to lead the Lions (20-8) from Seattle. Christina Cheledinas added 13 points and Danielle Estell 11.

The Falcons of Battle Ground are making their 15th straight appearance in the state tournament and have six second-place finishes in addition to their five titles

LAKESIDE (50)
