(AP) -- Jordan Sandrini scored 17 points and hit a pair of key 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to lift Adna past Riverside Christian 47-42 on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Class 2B girls state tournament. The Pirates (23-2) will face defending champion Reardan in a semifinal game on Friday. Tori Carpenter scored 15 points for the Crusaders (19-7), who will play Bear Creek in a loser-out contest. Riverside Christian had a chance to tie in the final seconds, but a long 3-point attempt by Kendra Staymates fell short. Regyn Gaffney sealed it with two foul shots with 3.3 seconds left for Adna. Riverside Christian had grabbed a 40-36 lead with 6 minutes left in the game after five straight points by Staymates, who finished with 11. But Adna countered with Sandrini, who buried consecutive 3-pointers from the corner, the second giving the Pirates a 43-40 lead with 2:40 remaining.
