TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Senior Devonte Luckett scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Cooper Kupp scored 19 to go with five assists to lead Yakima's A.C. Davis to a 79-45 quarterfinal win over Bothell Thursday at the state 4A boys basketball tournament at the Tacoma Dome.

The Pirates (21-2) never trailed and raced to an early 14-3 lead. They led by as many as 38. David Trimble added 13 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Davis, which shot a blistering 65 percent from the field (34-of-52).

The Cougars (17-10) were making their first state appearance since 1997. Highly-touted junior Zach Levine led Bothell with 20 points, just three off his season-average, but was just 1-for-9 from the field in the first half when the game was already out of reach. He finished 8-for-20 from the field. Perrion Callandret had 12 points, five rebounds and four steals for Bothell.
