Blitz Performers of the Week - Week 2

Below are the Blitz Performers of the Week for week 2. Blitz chooses the performers of the week by determining five athletes that made a significant contribution to their teams’ success that week. Athletes can always be nominated to be a top performer by emailing player stats to HSsports@king5.com.

Voting is unlimited, however the poll can only count 25 votes at a time. If you receive an error message, wait five minutes, and it should let you continue voting. The poll closes Friday, September 16th at 3 p.m.

Isiah Shim (RB), Skyline

Senior Isiah Shim was a key factor in the triple overtime win against Gonzaga Prep, 26-23. On the first play from scrimmage, Shim scored on a 78 yard run, as well as wining the game on a 9 yard run in triple overtime.

Parker Chamberlain (MLB/FB), Bothell

Senior Parker Chamberlain was instrumental in the 34-12 win over Kentwood. Chamberlain had 21 rushing yards, 3 carries and 3 touchdowns — all of which occurred in the second half of the game.

Chase McGuire (RB), Emerald Ridge

Senior Chase McGuire had a game winning interception and return against Puyallup this week. With less than 30 seconds left in the game, McGuire intercepted and returned the ball for a 56 yard touchdown, final score 36-28.

Conor Bardue (QB), Lake Stevens

Conor Bardue was a dominating force in the win against Arlington, 42-7. Conor threw for four touchdowns in the game, and ended 20-27 with 221 total yards in 3 quarters of play.

Jayvon Buckley (RB), Thomas Jefferson

Jayvee Buckley’s performance ensured the win over Kentridge 26-19. Buckley had a 20 yard touchdown run in overtime to win the game, and had a total of 96 yards on 14 carries.
