The Bellarmine Prep Lions won their fourth consecutive Class 4A girls' team championship. The Lions scored 168 points as a team. "The key to winning State isn't about one or two great players, it's about the depth of a team," says Bellarmine Prep coach Mark Bender. And the Lions proved that as they roared thru the State championships. This season the Lions became the first team ever with seven qualifiers at State. "They thrive on each other, they can't wait to play wach other, and when they are done they are best friends," says Bender. At State the Super Seven helped Bellarmine become the first 4A team ever to win four straight golf titles. Bellarmine Prep has now won seven State titles in eleven years. "It's been an awesome run, I'm a lucky coach," says Bender.
