TACOMA, Wash. -- Devyn Galland scored 24 points as Lewis and Clark defeated Federal Way 62-49 to win the 4A Girls championship game on Saturday night.

It was the Tigers first championship since three straight state titles from 2006-08.

Lewis and Clark took command early in the fourth, opening the frame with an 8-0 run to retake the lead. Julia Moravec hit 3 of 4 free throws and a layup that pushed the lead to 50-45 with just over two minutes to play. Federal Way then went cold, struggling to score with Galland and the Tigers hitting free throws down the stretch to seal the victory. Lewis and Clark outscored the Eagles 27-9 in the fourth quarter.
