High-school football player to be released from hospital

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. - A Life Christian School football player was set to be released from the hospital this morning after hitting his head last night during a football game.?

The player hit his head during the game between Life Christian School and Chimacum High in Port Townsend.

According to Life Christian's head coach, the player was taken to the hospital as a pre-caution. He was airlifted out of Memorial Stadium in Port Townsend and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

This is the third football player to be taken to a hospital in two weeks.

One of those players in Eastern Washington died of his injuries.
