TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Kat Cooper scored 20 points and Mercedes Wetmore had 17 to help Auburn Riverside beat Mead 56-52 in overtime to cap a perfect season and claim the Class 4A girls basketball title on Saturday night. Wetmore had four points in overtime for Auburn Riverside (29-0), which won its third title in four years. The game was tied at 49 at the end of regulation. Kalee Junkermier had 19 points and Jazmine Redmon scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Mead (24-6) of Spokane. Redmon fouled out early in overtime. Junkermier scored for Mead with 11.5 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. The Panthers used an 8-2 run over the final 3:14 to force the extra period.
