TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Joshua Smith had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Kentwood defeated Wilson 57-44 in the semifinals of the Class 4A boys state tournament on Friday night. Wilson couldn't score in the paint against the Kentwood big man. Mikey Hope had 15 points to lead the Rams but Wilson wasn't able to cut down the deficit. It's Kentwood's third appearance in the championship game. The score was tied at 14 midway through the second quarter when Kentwood closed the half on a 12-3 run to take a 26-17 lead into the break.
