TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Brett Kingma had 25 points and Jackson held off a late rally to shock defending champion Federal Way 53-45 and advance to the 4A boys state championship game for the first time in school history on Friday night. Kingma had 9 of Jackson's 10 first quarter points and 16 points before half in building a 30-18 lead over the defending champs. Isiah Umipig was in foul trouble early and had to sit most of the first half for Federal Way. Jackson took advantage of Umipig's absence, shooting 50-percent from the field and 4 of 9 from 3-point range in the half. The Timberwolves held a 41-31 lead entering the fourth quarter when Federal Way started to rally, closing to 45-39 with 3 minutes to play, but Jackson held on. Ryan Todd scored all six of his points in the fourth quarter for Jackson. Umipig finished with 12 points and Cole Dickerson added 10 for the Eagles.
