TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Isiah Umipig went the length of the court and scored with 8.3 seconds to go as defending champion Federal Way edged Gonzaga Prep 60-59 in overtime in the Class 4A boys quarterfinals on Thursday.

A desperation 3-pointer from David Nelson missed at the buzzer. Umipig had 24 points for Federal way.

Ryan Nicholas led Gonzaga Prep with 18 points, 14 in the first half. He sparked an 11-2 run to get the Bullpups back within one in the first half, then was part of a 24-4 spurt that gave G-Prep a 46-38 lead midway through the fourth.

Nicholas left the game in the fourth with the Bullpups leading after suffering a cut under his left eye. Umipig scored eight points with Nicholas on the bench to give Federal Way hope. Parker Kelly hit two free throws with 7.1 seconds left in regulation to give the Bullpups a 51-48 lead, but Jerry Duckworth drained a 3-pointer from the left corner as time expired to force overtime.

Kelly finished with 17 for G-Prep, while Cole Dickerson added 16 for Federal Way.
