TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Brett Kingma drained a deep 3-pointer while being fouled with 1.8 seconds to play and Jackson knocked off Decatur 58-54 in the quarterfinals of the Class 4A boys state tournament on Thursday night.

Jerron Smith hit a pair of free throws for Decatur with 33 seconds left to pull even at 54-all. Kingma then drained the clock, and the shot, to put Jackson on top for good.

Kingma finished with 25 points to lead the way for the Timberwolves.

The teams were tied at 44 after three and traded baskets throughout the fourth. Ryan Todd picked off a pass and got fouled where he converted both free throws to put Jackson up 52-49.

Decatur answered with Anthony Williams getting a lay-up and Smith hitting one of two free throws to tie the game again at 52-all. Todd grabbed an offensive rebound and got to the line again to put Jackson ahead. Smith answered with a pair of his own setting up Kingma's heroics.
