TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Jenna Humphrey scored 17 points and Chelsea Chandler added 12 to lead Shadle Park to a hard-fought 47-46 win over Capital Wednesday in a first-round game at the Class 3A girls basketball tournament.

Neither team led by more than nine points and Capital got to within one at 47-46 with 25 seconds left on Kelsey Anties' only bucket of the game. Humphrey was fouled but missed the front end of a one-and-one with 13.3 seconds left. Aria Goodman's 3-pointer for Capital clanged off the rim at the buzzer.

The Highlanders (17-8) also got seven rebounds, four assists and four steals from Chandler.

Tosha Hollingsworth led the Cougars (17-9) with 16 points and grabbed six rebounds. Goodman added 11 points and Kendel Wilkerson grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. The Cougars were hurt by their free throw shooting, hitting just 12 of 23 attempts.
