TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Justin Pedley scored 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds to lead Kamiakin to a 58-47 quarterfinal win over Seattle's Kennedy Thursday at the state 3A boys basketball tournament at the Tacoma Dome.

The Braves (23-1) reached the 3A semifinals for the second straight year with the win, shooting 51 percent from the field (16-of-31). Cooper Clyde chipped in 14 points and Zach En'Wezoh scored six points and grabbed 11 rebounds. The Braves lost in overtime in last year's semis and are looking for their first state title.

The Lancers (21-4) were cold from the field, connecting on just 17 of 62 shots. Mitch Penner led Kennedy with 23 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Anthony McCluskey scored 12 for the Lancers.

Kamiakin made 22 of 38 free throws.
