2B Boy's State Quarterfinal Hoops: Pe Ell 65, White Swan 64

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- Hank Robinson sank a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Pe Ell past White Swan 65-64 on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Class 2B boys state tournament.

Robinson missed a 3-point attempt with 6 seconds remaining but the Trojans secured the rebound, giving Robinson one final shot.

Pe Ell (18-4) trailed 62-55 before Tyler Ratkie scored seven straight points to tie the game at 62. White Swan regained the lead on a Joel Yellow Owl layup with 23 seconds remaining.

Ratkie finished with a game-high 25 points. Robinson struggled for much of the game, finishing with 13 points on 4 of 15 shooting.

Pe Ell led by 12 at halftime and by six after three quarters but went scoreless for more than 4 minutes of the fourth.

White Swan (17-5) was led by Lawrence Fiander with 24 points, Cory Williams had 17 and Justin Williams added 11. The Cougars scored the first 11 points of the fourth quarter to take a 57-54 lead.
