SAMMAMISH, Wash. - Once again it was a beautiful afternoon for golf at Sahalee Country Club where the best senior golfers in the world were playing round one of the U.S. Senior Open.

Crowds have been building all week with a great turnout today for the start of competition.

Bring the sunscreen and wear comfortable walking shoes, and you can't go wrong. Oh, and don't forget your wallet! You'll find concession stands all over the course. They say they'll use 78 tons of ice keeping all the drinks cold this week.

One of the big draws is the merchandise pavilion – the swag tent just off the 18th fairway.
