THe Huskies just announce that QB Cyler Miles has been reinstated to the team and WR Damore'ea Stringfellow will transfer. Both were in trouble due to an alleged incident following the Super Bowl. Only Stringfellow was charged. Last month, Stringfellow pleaded guilty to a couple of misdemeanor charges. Below is the Huskies news release:
Washington head football coach Chris Petersen announced today that quarterback Cyler Miles has been reinstated to the football program and will participate in team activities going forward.
Coach Petersen also announced that tailback Ryan McDaniel (Torrance, Calif.) has retired from the football program due to ongoing knee injury issues, and that wide receiver Damore'ea Stringfellow has decided to transfer to another program.
For the time being, there will be no further comment from the UW or Coach Petersen on Miles or Stringfellow.
McDaniel, who joined the UW program in the spring of 2012 and redshirted that season due to a high-school knee injury, played in one game last season, carrying the ball 10 times for 47 yards in Washington's win over Idaho State.
