Washington Huskies tight end Austin Sefarian-Jenkins was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor DUI in Seattle following an accident last month.

Sefarian-Jenkins had a blood alcohol level of 0.18 – more than twice the legal limit – in the March 9 incident, according to the Seattle City Attorney’s Office.

The Huskies suspended Sefarian-Jenkins indefinitely for the investigation.

According to a police report in which the names are redacted, the driver of a vehicle involved in the  accident had a bloody nose consistent with hitting his face on the windshield and the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.

The police report states the vehicle was found at the bottom of a catch basin at a park near the University of Washington. The driver objected to medical care, but was eventually placed on a backboard and transported to Harborview Medical Center. He objected to a blood test at the hospital before police obtained a search warrant to draw his blood.

The only people discussed in the report are the driver and one witness. The report was released by police in response to a request for information on an incident involving Seferian-Jenkins.

Last season, Seferian-Jenkins caught 69 passes for 850 yards -- both single-season records for Washington tight ends -- and seven touchdowns.
