LOS ANGELES (AP) -- April Cook scored 15 points off the bench, Jazmine Perkins added 12 and Washington State rode its long-range shooting to a 69-55 upset of third-seeded Southern Cal on Thursday in the Pac-12 tournament quarterfinals.

Rosie Tarnowski chipped in 11 points, including a team-high three 3-pointers, for the 11th-seeded Cougars (13-19), who were 10 of 20 from beyond the arc. Perkins also had seven rebounds and three steals.

Washington State will play No. 2 seed California in the semifinals Friday.

Briana Gilbreath had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Trojans (18-12), who looked to have some momentum after ending the regular season on a six-game winning streak. But Washington State kept pace before taking the lead for good on a Perkins 3-pointer 6:15 before halftime.

The Cougars put the game away in the second half as USC struggled from the field. The Trojans shot just 26 percent for the game.
