Tornado forces UW softball team to take cover in hotel

The University of Washington Husky softball team is in Oklahoma City for the softball World Series. The team was forced to take cover in a hotel shelter due to the tornado danger.

The UW Softball team tweeted a photo and an update: "Taking cover in the basement of the hotel, all safe and accounted for. #WCWS"

"They took us to a tunnel underneath (the hotel) and then moved us to a parking garage connected to the convention center here. So everybody is down underneath the parking garage now because it's safer and that's where we've been for a while. I figure we'll be here for a while," said UW Sports Information Director Alyssa Olveda, who is traveling with the team.

Joshua Bessex, a reporter with the UW student newspaper The Daily, was also traveling with the team and shot video of the storm before they were forced to hunker down in the shelter.  He also tweeted updates and photos:
