SEATTLE -- Isiah Umipig and Emerson Murray combined for 20 points as Seattle University manhandled Division III Pacific Lutheran on Saturday, winning 66-38.
Umipig and Murray each scored 10 points in a balanced offensive effort while Deshuan Sunderhaus and William Powell grabbed 9 rebounds each for the Redhawks.
Seattle University (7-3) led 37-21 at the half after pulling away from the only PLU lead of 5-4 in the early minutes.
The Seattle U offensive game cooled a bit in the second, but the defense put even more pressure on the Lutes, holding them to just 17 second half points. Seattle enjoyed its largest lead (30) just prior to the buzzer at the end of the game.
Brandon Lester and Terrell Williams scored 10 points each for the Lutes, but the team shot only 23 percent.
Pacific Lutheran still leads the series against Seattle 34-26 with today's meeting being their sixtieth match-up.
