PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State University football team is preparing for its first bowl game in a decade. The Cougars play Colorado State in the New Mexico Bowl Saturday, December 21st, but there are some fans who the athletic director said will not be getting tickets.
Athletic Director Bill Moos keeps a 'no bowl ticket' file comprised of people who have sent nasty emails about WSU Athletics. On Tuesday, KREM 2 News received a copy of those emails.
WSU Football Coach Mike Leach’s first season ended with a dismal 3-9 record. After that, one person wrote: "This will go down as one of the biggest disasters in coaching history, and Leach will never be a head coach again."
Moos replied to some emails, telling fans that change is not easy.
In the fall, news of the 'no bowl ticket' file became public. WSU leaders said some people even requested to be on it.
In one email, the author called Moos an “idiot.” Others wrote about their discontent over the football schedule.
