BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State coach Chris Petersen says he supports the move to reinstate Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount, who had been suspended for the season for punching a Bronco after the season opener.

Oregon requested that Blount be allowed to rejoin the team, and the move was approved Monday by Pacific-10 Conference Commissioner Larry Scott.

Blount punched defensive lineman Byron Hout in the chin after the nationally televised opener, won by the Broncos 19-8.

Petersen says he has tremendous respect for the Oregon program and is 100 percent behind whatever athletic officials decide on Blount's future.

Blount will be able to play for the No. 14 Ducks on Saturday night when they host Arizona State. He missed eight games.
