SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday says he would rather play No. 2 Oregon in Pullman this weekend instead of in Seattle.
But this is Washington State's annual game in Seattle, intended to appeal to the sizable alumni base in the state's largest city, and a big crowd is expected at CenturyLink Field.
Halliday says it is frustrating that the game is not being played at Martin Stadium in Pullman.
He says he doesn't see why the team has to go somewhere else to play a home game.
Defensive tackle Xavier Cooper says the Cougars deserve to have the game in Pullman.
