SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State University football team has dismissed starting cornerback Brandon Jones, who was arrested Saturday by WSU police and charged with driving under the influence.

Sports information director Bill Stevens says coach Paul Wulff dismissed Jones for violation of team rules.

Pullman police arrested Jones Nov. 30 in a domestic dispute. No charges were filed and that case was dropped in December.

Jones played at O'Dea High in Seattle and started his collegiate career at California. He transferred to WSU and started 11 games for the Cougars in 2009. He made 37 tackles, intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble.
