According to Yahoo Sports, Seattle's NBA ownership group is already discussing possible candidates to run the franchise.

The list reportedly includes some of basketball's biggest names

With a team almost in place, there's a lot of talk about what Seattle's new ownership group will do first.

Sources say Chris Hansen and company will basically gut the Kings, from the president on down.

So let the speculation begin.

First name out of the gate? Lakers legendary coach Phil Jackson.

Peter Vecsey reports Jackson is all but a "lock" to become the front office face of the Seattle franchise. He apparently won't coach, but he will mentor the choice.

Yahoo sports says the Hansen ownership group could target Larry Bird or spurs GM R.C. Buford to become the Sonics' new general manager.

You might remember Seattle signed spurs assistant GM Sam Presti to rebuild the Sonics before they left for OKC. They now have the best record in basketball.

We talked to Kevin Calabro today. He wants to return as the “voice of the Sonics,” and he thinks signing Phil Jackson would be a great start.

“It’s really going to be an exciting process, it really is, when you think of all the work that’s ahead for the SuperSonics,” he said.
