SHORELINE, Wash. – Many Seahawks fans are dreaming about going to the Super Bowl, but that dream came true for one man who used his cooking skills to get there.

Jimbo Sabado of Shoreline is a season ticket holder and big tailgater. Now he has an all-expense paid trip to New York and two tickets to the game.

Sabado submitted a cooking tape to the Rachael Ray Show. He was chosen out of hundreds of contestants to compete in a cook-off on national television. He out-cooked tailgaters from the 49ers, Broncos and Patriots to win the big prize.

His bacon-wrapped stuffed salmon was the winning dish.

“It's a dream come true. It’s just so surreal, it really is,” said Sabado. “After already getting to be in New York and getting to do the taping, that was just enough as it was, and then to have this, too. I’m still in disbelief,” said Sabado.

Sabado is bringing his fiancé, Nancy, to the Super Bowl as an early wedding gift. They’re getting married two weeks after the game.

Jimbo Sabado’s bacon-wrapped stuffed salmon recipe:

Cut filet of salmon into 1-inch chunks. Slice the center.

Stuff with garlic herb cream cheese and grated green apple and julienne water chestnuts, then wrap the salmon in bacon.

Skewer the salmon-wrapped bacon and grill the pieces.
