It takes a big (12th) man to admit something like this.

While visiting with Seattle Seahawks fans in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, KING 5’s Paul Silvi met up with one who was sporting a Ricky Watters No. 32 jersey.

That’s not the only retro jersey he owns. He also owns a No. 10 jersey – but it’s not Jim Zorn.

“I have a Dan McGwire jersey.”

For those who have only recently joined the ranks of the 12s, Dan McGwire was picked No. 16 overall in the 1991 NFL Draft. He’s widely seen as one of the biggest draft bust in Seahawks history. McGwire played 13 games in five seasons in Seattle and started five of those. He threw two touchdowns and six interceptions in his career.

A lot of fans say they’ve been with the team through the good and bad years. This fan just proved it.

He’s more than happy to laugh about owning a McGwire jersey.

“I’m one of three (who owns it). The others are his parents.”

Silvi was in Washington to cover the Seattle Seahawks visit to The White House.
