ESPN reports that the Seattle Seahawks will release wide receiver Sidney Rice.
Rice suffered a torn ACL on Oct. 28 against the St. Louis Rams and missed the rest of the season.
WR Golden Tate is set to become a free agent and has said he will take less money to stay in Seattle. Tate, Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse provided the Seahawks with a solid receiving corp after Rice went down with his injury.
In 2011, Rice signed a five-year, $41 million contract. The Seahawks would pay Rice a $17.5 million base over the next two years.
