The Washington State football staff will not make as much as the Huskies staff, but the salaries have been improved.   The nine full-time assistant coaches will make a combined $1.8 million dollars.   That's nearly a million dollars less than Washington's $2.7 million price tag, but it is a raise of over $500,000.

Head Coach Mike Leach makes $2.25 milllion a season without bonuses.  Former coach Paul Wulff made $600,000 per year.

Here's the rundown of salaries - all contracts are for one year.

Mike Breske, Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs - $325,000

Eric Russell, Assistant Head Coach/Special Teams - $225,000

Jeff Choate, Linebackers - $210,000

Clay McGuire, Offensive Line - $200,000

Jim Mastro, Running Backs - $200,000

Joe Salave'a, Defensive Line - $175,000

Dennis Simmons, Outside Receivers - $160,000

Paul Volero, Outside Linebackers - $165,000

Eric Morris, Inside Receivers - $150,000
