The NBA has fined several former Washington Husky basketball players $15,000 each for taking part in an unsanctioned UW alumni game last month, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Sources say the league fined Spencer Hawes (Philadelphia 76ers), Quincy Pondexter and Tony Wroten, Jr. (Memphis Grizzlies) and Isaiah Thomas (Sacramento Kings) for the June 23 game played at UW’s Alaska Airlines Arena. Yahoo! reports it wasn’t clear if Nate Robinson (Chicago Bulls) and Terrence Ross (Toronto Raptors) were also fined.

Players cannot play in public offseason games before July 1 or after Sept. 15 without league approval, according to the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement.

The Purple team in the alumni game was compromised of post-2009 players. The White team had pre-2009 players from the Lorenzo Romar era. Purple beat White 107-104. Thomas won the MVP. Highlights
