Clint Dempsey probably won't wear mask in next U.S. game

Clint Dempsey broke his nose during the United States’ first game against Ghana, and managed to finish out the 90 minutes despite being unable to breathe through his nose.

Dempsey says he can breathe out of one nostril now, but isn’t interested in protecting his nose any further. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap, Dempsey won’t wear a mask in the next game.

It’s a tough call. Dempsey will want to protect his nose, but if he feels awkward or uncomfortable wearing it, he could decide it’s not worth the trouble.

What there’s no doubt about is that Dempsey is a tough dude.
