TCU's new perfect pursuit gets quick test from OSU

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — TCU is pursuing perfection again.

The Horned Frogs were finally a BCS buster last season, then lost the Fiesta Bowl. They know the only chance for a do-over is to have another undefeated regular season.

Eight months after the disappointing finish to its BCS breakthrough, sixth-ranked TCU starts over Saturday night. The Frogs have their highest preseason ranking and a quick challenge in an opener against No. 24 Oregon State.

The game is being played at Cowboys Stadium, the NFL showplace that hosts the next Super Bowl — and is only about 20 miles from the TCU campus.

The Frogs twice held workouts at the massive stadium. The Beavers plan to use their Friday walkthrough there to knock out the 'wow' factor.
