Northwest Backroads

The Yakima River is for all seasons. It's a river filled with captivating beauty and, of course, fish.

Northwest Backroads

In 1988, Jack Mitchell fell in love with this river and his knowledge of this river is second to none.

Jack and his nine guides will float the Yak up to 700 times a year.

The blue-ribbon stretch of the Yakima is approximately 75 miles long.

The term "Blue Ribbon" was coined by a Fish and Wildlife agent in Montana and is still in use today. It means that a stretch of water is easily accessible, environmentally aesthetic and has good fishing.

The Yakima River is all that and more.
