Teambuilding with guns

03:11 PM PDT on Wednesday, June 28, 2006

By SAINT BRYAN / Evening Magazine

Tough day at the office? Having some problems with a co-worker? Is there anything your boss can do to help?

How about arming everyone in the office with guns!

The mission: To save a hostage – a hostage they've known for years.

To succeed they'll have to work together like they've never done before. They are heroes of a make-believe mission in a make-believe town, housed in a huge warehouse in Kent, Wash.

This is where the urban training company, NW Tactical, teaches corporate teambuilding in the line of fire.

"Unfortunately, what we see in most corporations right now is you have everybody going for their own goals instead of working as a tight unit trying to get one main company goal done," said Matt Deeds, a former Army sniper who says the military can teach corporate America a lot about leadership, team work and communication.
