His private showroom is stocked with Jimmy Choo shoes, Chanel bags and a laser-cut patent leather jacket that retailed for $10,000. They are the kind of luxury goods that most people only see in magazines.

But Austin Deppa sells them for 50-75% off retail.

Deppa owns Wardrobe Ltd. Luxury Consignment Services, Seattle's most exclusive consignment company. It caters to customers who can afford the finer things, but still like a bargain.

"I view it as more of an art form than just consumerism," Deppa said. "I understand why someone would spend six or seven figures on a piece of art, in the same way I understand why someone would spend four or five figures on a piece of clothing or a handbag that is truly the highest form of artistry that is achievable when it comes to garments and accessories."

Deppa operates as a consignment concierge, traveling around the country to meet with clients, doing closet consultations and bringing consignment items back to Seattle.

His love for high fashion began early. When he was 8 years old, he began studying the world's best fashion houses.

"Buying books or checking them out of the library on whatever designer it might be, whether it's Louis Vuitton or Chanel," he said. "I'd kind of research it and find out the history of the label, the brands and the designers themselves."

By age 13, he was starting to re-sell clothing online. At age 16, he launched his consignment company.

Five years later, Wardrobe Ltd. has five employees, hundreds of customers, and thousands of items in inventory. Deppa oversees everything, at the young age of 21.

"Whatever someone does, as long as they truly love what they do, and do what they love, they'll be absolutely successful at it," he said.

He knows more about fashion than some people learn in a lifetime, so his clients trust him with their runway items and coveted accessories. He's selling a dress identical to one worn by Taylor Swift at the CMA awards, and an Hermes Birkin bag worth five figures.

His showroom isn't open to the general public. Customers shop privately, by appointment, with Deppa's assistance. But eventually, he'd like to own a regular storefront.

Deppa is always looking for new clients who want to consign luxury goods. He can be contacted through his website: www.wardrobe-ltd.com
