The Jefferson Award began back in 1972 as a way to recognize outstanding citizens who chose to put the needs of others before their own. Each day this week, we will profile one of the 5 local winners, and you will get to help pick the local winner who will represent Washington State for the national Jefferson Award.

Trish Millines Dziko was a highly paid employee at Microsoft, but she left it behind to close the technology gap and enrich young minds.

Way to go, Trish! You got my vote! You're such a brilliant, awesome and beautiful person to know! I loved working with the TechStart kids and Zithri, too! You have made all the difference to these kids!
