KING 5 TV (NBC), the number one station in the Northwest, is part of the Gannett Co., Inc. family of local TV broadcasters. The KING 5 brand started more than 60 years ago as the first TV station in the Northwest. Today it includes a sister station broadcasting as KONG TV (non-affiliated), the number one local TV news Web site,, and NorthWest Cable News (NWCN), a 24-hour news and weather cable channel. All are housed in one building.
